Mark the owner of La Croix du Gue is a very keen fisherman, and he has a wealth of knowledge of the good local lakes. Some lakes are completely free of charge to fish, whereas some charge a daily average of €7. The lakes in which the fish pictured on this page were caught are free to fish day or night, and holds carp up to 60lbs and catfish up to 80lbs.

We have one spare set of carp fishing gear, especially for guest’s use. If you would like a fishing trip during your stay, let us know and Mark will be happy to take you to a lake and help you set up your gear (if required).

The local lakes are an ideal day out, not just for fisherman but for the whole family, as well as fishing, swimming, canoeing, they're ideal just for a quiet walk and a picnic.
