La Croix Du Gué, a traditionally restored cottage set amidst stunning Anjou countryside. We have restored the cottage to traditional French tastes, but the gite has also been designed to appeal to the modern day family. All linen and towels provided, except poolside towels. Babies accommodated for, as the gite has a cot, high chair, pram and pushchair. The gite has its own barbeque.

Conservatory

La Croix du Gué is accessed through a lovely conservatory which allows plenty of sunlight. The conservatory also has a range of gym equipment for your use. So if you would like to make use of the running machine, and multi gym while you're here, then you're more than welcome to.

Kitchen

A spacious wooden beamed kitchen, approximately 20 metres square. With traditional renovated stone fireplace, and large wood burner. Full of rustic French character. Extremely well equipped, with all necessities for home cooking, and entertaining with a large dining room table and chairs. Double doors from kitchen make for easy access to your own large garden.

Lounge area

A good sized wooden beamed lounge room, with double doors leading to your private garden and views of surrounding fields. There's a two and a three seater sofa - perfect after a day of viewing chateaux or fishing. We have English freeview television in the gite for your enjoyment, as well as a DVD/VIDEO player. We also have a good selection of DVD’s and books for your relaxation.

Ground-floor bedroom

Light and airy downstairs double bedroom with window views to side garden. Single beds available on request

There's a WC and shower room on the ground-floor also.

First-floor bedroom One

Large double bedroom, with traditional wooden beams. Stunning views of the open countryside. French double doors leading to stone steps which take you to your private garden. This bedroom has an en-suite shower and W.C. Single beds available on request

First-floor bedroom Two

Another large bedroom with one double bed and one single bed.

There's a good sized landing, with wooden beams. Velux windows make for excellent star gazing through the telescope which is for your sole use!

Garden & pool

The perfect place to BBQ, pic-nic, sunbathe, swim, and generally relax. La Croix du Gué’s private fenced garden is a real sun trap - ideal for getting that summer tan! Surrounded by cornfields, and contains mature fruit trees and shrubs. We keep chickens and rabbits in a separate garden next to yours which are very entertaining to watch! The garden is absolutely perfect for pets as the fence ensures a secure space for them.

La Croix du Gué has an outdoor, private above-ground pool, which is accessible via a raised decking area.
